Meet the Team
Shakil Ahmed – Owner & Founder
Shakil launched the company in 2002 after ten years in construction management. His vision was to shift away from commodity-based renovation to personalized, client-focused service—combining quality craftsmanship with homeowner care. Daniel remains hands-on in operations, design coaching, and brand partnerships. Outside of work, he’s an outdoor enthusiast, loves classic car restoration, and volunteers as a community hockey coach.
Alex Murray – Lead Installer & Project Supervisor
Serving the company since 2008, Alex brings deep hands-on expertise to every project. A Dartmouth native, he excels in problem-solving, time management, and client communication. Alex is certified in Schluter systems and stays current on best installation practices. Outside work, he enjoys cycling, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Liam Evans – Apprentice Carpenter & Site Assistant
The most recent addition (joined 2024), Liam is a carpentry grad from NSCC and is studying for his Red Seal certification. He assists on-site with framing, painting, and installations—learning from the best. Outside work, Liam plays basketball, enjoys woodworking, and loves exploring Halifax’s waterfront.
Emma Chen – Design Consultant & Sales Lead
Joining the team in 2023, Emma is a licensed interior designer with a natural touch for styling spaces. She excels at translating client wishes into cohesive, beautiful bathroom design plans—from colour palettes to fixture selection. When not working, Emma enjoys hiking, sketching interiors, and caring for her golden retriever, Marley.
